I have always been into healing. I remember reading a book on Bodymind when I was eight. I have always seen and felt energy, the way it moves. After high school, I began my path as a pre-med student. I lived in a teepee and a yurt in Western North Carolina, learning wild edibles, herbalism, wildcrafting, and living in harmony with nature. Two years of paying close attention to plants and bodies. I was invited to study with master healer, Starr Fuentes, learning Light Language, Paradigm Shifting, and a wealth of energetic healing techniques from traditions around the world. I trained at the East West Healing Arts Institute in Madison, Wisconsin, earning my formal massage degree. I was then invited to continue into a private two-year internship with the school’s founder, Dr. Xiping Zhou, one on one for a total of 1000 hours. I did his charting. I followed him room to room, observed, pulled needles, and massaged every one of his patients. Dr. Zhou is one of a kind. I learned things in that internship I couldn’t have learned anywhere else. I then gathered additional herbalism, mindfulness and medical chi gong certifications over the years. NAHARA Healing Arts is the long view of all of that.
